Meet Our Founders
DF Lab was created by Jacob McIntyre and James Chapman, the founders of Designable Fashion, a global fashion consulting firm specializing in product development and production. With over 20 years of combined experience, they’ve helped launch and scale 200+ brands across activewear, streetwear, and ready-to-wear.
James Chapman is the co-founder of Designable Fashion and DF Lab. He oversees concept development, color direction, sketching, graphic design, packaging design, and sourcing. With over 10 years of industry experience, James has worked as a Fashion Designer, Technical Designer, Product Development Manager, and Head of Design for major apparel brands. He holds a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design and Business from Parsons The New School.

Jacob McIntyre is the co-founder of Designable Fashion and DF LAB. Overseeing technical design, sampling, product development, and production. With over 12 years of industry experience, Jacob works on products from concept through production, including technical design, grading, pattern making, and quality assurance. He holds an Associate in Fashion Design from FIT and a Bachelor’s in Design and Technology from Youngstown State University.
